47. Eco-Friendly LOVE

My boyfriend's old teacher was in town yesterday, and she brought with her some gifts for us. She always has the most amazing gifts for us, because they're always eco-friendly in some way, which I absolutely love! She's so amazing, she works so hard to bring as much awareness as possible to her town about making it more environmentally conscious, and not to mention when we visit her she makes the most delicious lunch and dinner, and always vegetarian! Thank you! <3

Goody bag! Full of stuff from ecousable.com and the mrwmd.org

Gotta love the Tsubasa google background haha!

Super cute PINK stainless steel bottle! I love these, I have them all over my house. Sadly my mom still buys tons of water bottles, so maybe I'll buy more of these bottles since we have a filter at home.

Reusable hand towel :D I think I'll start taking this with me to work. I'm always using paper towels and stuffing them in my apron to use again, but that's not very realistic because they're so thin.

Made from 99% recycled materials. Pull the string and it turns into a shopping bag!

I always forget to bring bags with me, so I try to opt for paper, but I don't think I'll have to worry about that any more. :)

Super adorable utensil set! XD

Cute card she gave me ^^

I wish I could've at least said hi to her yesterday, but I had work boo~ oh well, there's always next time right? ^^

46. L'Arc~en~Ciel

I really don't post enough, even if it's something random and stupid. I need to get around to posting some reviews up! I keep putting of the circle lens and CastleDew reviews because I'm lazy/unmotivated to do so. Blah, I'll do it eventually I keep saying, I'm sorry. ;__;

゚・:,。゚・:,。★゚・:,。゚・:,。☆

Any L'Arc~en~Ciel fangirls out there??
*raises hand*

So they released their Twenity Box Set about a month ago, but since I first heard about it I started hyperventilating because 1, it's L'Arc's entire discography, and 2, it comes with a tiny music box! There's 4 possible tunes you can get, but it's completely random. What are the possible songs?
NEW WORLD - MY HEART DRAWS A DREAM - flower - あなた

あなた?!
Ever since I first discovered that song, it's been my absolute favorite by L'Arc. I want it SO SO SO SO BADLY! All the choices are amazing, but out of the possible XXX number of songs they've released, I couldn't believe they chose Anata. I would've expected a song like Pieces or 叙情詩 (Jyoujoushi). Actually, I would've been beyond happy to know those were chosen, but my mind is blown over Anata. <3

As of now, it's SOLD OUT on CD Japan and Yes Asia. I was shocked, but at the same time, the price was pretty reasonable, so of course it's gonna go fast. And of course, I start freaking out.

Here's where it gets a little funny. Well, it made me and my boyfriend laugh, anyway.

So I called Kinokuniya the other day looking for L'Arc's "Twenity" box set, and here's part of the "conversation", which made me and my boyfriend chuckle.

Woman:
Kinokuniya! ---- desu. (I didn't catch her name)
Me
Hi, I'm looking for a CD by L'Arc~en~Ciel
Woman
....Is, is that the artist?
Me:
Oh, um, ラルク アン シエル?
Woman:
Oh! ラルク アン シエル! Okay, okay, just a moment prease! :D
Boyfriend:
Uhhhhhummm........... okay...... XD

They didn't have it, and wouldn't be getting any in. Bummer. Now I start freaking out because my dumb ass didn't get around to pre-ordering it when I had the chance months ago. He also checked a few other sites, but they didn't carry it at all.

In the end, it worked out perfectly.

My boyfriend found this site called HMV Online. They're a company based in Japan, and lucky for me, they ship outside of Japan *whoot* And of course, they happened to have the box set! What's better, it's priced at 12,000円!

Sure as hell beats Yes Asia! Their price was over $200 if I remember correctly; probably around $230~ if I'm giving an exact guess, lol.

Shipping was only 2,400円, and they ship with EMS! In total, I paid $163.14. So I saved at least $40 + faster shipping than Yes Asia, and avoided the inflated cost of buying it from Kinokuniya if it were available, just to have it right away and thinking it was impossible to find elsewhere.

I also think this was a really good purchase since I haven't purchased a CD at full price in years. I know, I'm awful. I also LOVE collecting CDs, but I literally have 2 bins full of CDs because I have no where to put them. I can't keep myself away from Kinokuniya's clearance bin... you find some amazing treasures in there sometimes. My favorite is probably the Field of View albums I found for $3, WIN!

And just so this isn't boring you too much, here's some pictures of the guys. Enjoy ;)

I have a bit of an unhealthy obsession for Ken, but I toned it WAY down. The number of pictures I'd post on my Xanga of different Jrockers back in the day is almost embarrassing.

Can't ever resist Hyde doing something with his mouth. :D

I think this is the most fangirl-y post I've made since high school. Those days were fun, I miss them, but a little too crazy I think. Every day I had some sort of magazine with me. It wasn't so much "what outfit do I want to wear today?". It was "which magazine do I want to take to school today? What's In? Arena 37? Backstage Pass... CURE?" That was me throughout high school. //

Wow. I actually found a post of L'Arc I did back in 2005. SOOOO embarrassing looking back now, I'm not even sure I want to show it. But then again, it's been on the internet for years, so here's a little bit of the old me (not really, I'm still a hopeless fangirl in private):

*runs away*

I'll start taking pictures for reviews soon! Let me know if there's anything you want reviews of. That might get me to actually do them haha.

42. Animals Are Beautiful People + other things

Sorry, I haven't had any time to write a meaningful post + post pictures, so all the posts I've been meaning to post are once again, post-poned. I'll be taking Wednesday to get back to my planned posts since it's my day off. To keep you guys entertained in the meantime, I wanted to share some clips from one of my all-time favorite [documentary] movies. Maybe you've heard of it, love it, hate it, never even knew it existed... regardless, in my opinion, it's nothing short of AMAZING.

It's a documentary about animals in Africa shot as a comedic documentary, and fully entertaining with a good balance of drama. I just felt like sharing some of my favorite clips that have me laughing my ass off each time I watch them. Enjoy!

Adorable meerkats encountering a snake, and trying to eat an egg (by digging around it!)

A baby warthog is separated from his mom after being chased by a cheetah, and looks for an "alternate" mother.

And of course, the famous "drunken animals" scene!

If this isn't enough, I happened across the full movie on YouTube (wow, what luck).  I hope you guys will find a chance to check out a classic, or if you want, you can also borrow it from the library in the nature and animal related section. But, it's right here otherwise, and the quality really can't get much better. 1974. Hello. ;)

I also have to warn, around @10 minutes it gets extremely sad to watch, I get depressed each time! May want to consider skipping that part to 0:10:40

Next post I'll write up my review on G-MARKET *finally!* I have to say this was pretty split between me and my boyfriend, in terms of LOVE AND HATE (or severely dislike?). I hope you'll find my post extremely helpful if you're planning on purchasing from any of the sellers I bought from.

So, until then! Thanks for taking the time to read, and hopefully checking out at least one of the clips. Also check out THE GODS MUST BE CRAZY, by the same director. And please tell me what you think without details. Because I sadly have not seen it yet. >_<;
Actually, I'm off to go watch it now, since it's also on YouTube! :P

ps. I'm also curious, do you guys prefer reading everything CENTERED or spaced to the LEFT like my last post?? I still can't decide which I like better with the new layout! :P

Yay! I finally got my second order of circle lenses from KiwiBerry1-Collection today! It took 14 days to get to me, and I'm so so excited to try them out! I'll be posting pictures tomorrow; hopefully with a camera, but I might have to resort to using my webcam >_< I'll update this post again tomorrow!

Also be sure to check my last post for my G-MARKET updates. If you're wanting to order from G-M, you can see roughly how long the whole process takes and I'll update again later when my order arrives.

See you guys later!

35. CUBE ENTERTAINMENT AUDITIONS 2011

Yeah, so, guess who's entering?? :P

゚・:,。゚・:,。★゚・:,。゚・:,。☆

For those who don't know, CUBE ENTERTAINMENT is home to such artists as BEAST and 4MINUTE (<3), and they're looking for new recruits! These auditions are being hosted by KOREABOO for all to join via YouTube. You can sing, dance, or both; I'm choosing to do a dance, because singing isn't a strong point for me (as much as I enjoy doing it!).

For my audition, I chose 4MINUTE's "HUH". I've been nutso about this song since it was released, so it felt like a good choice. My first choice was actually Hyun Ah's "Change", but I feel like you have to be really good at hip-thrusting to make it look good... *cough* I'm also thinking of later doing SHINee's "Lucifer". I know, crazy ass dance, but SO fun. I tried learning it a few months ago, and gave up, but maybe these auditions will provoke me to try again. :)

I learned of these auditions 4 days ago, and since then I've pretty much been on a non-stop "HUH" rampage... at home I'm in front of the mirror, and at work I'm a walking zombie playing it over and over in my head! So today, I finally had my chance to record my video.

Of course, it only took me 5 HOURS to finish! Here's all the different reasons if you care... XD

- Dog or cat walks in front of me, and I trip on them (well, the dog anyway, and she got mad at me lol)
- Laptop dies
- Camera dies
- Continuous mistakes
- Camera 2 dies
- It's FREEZING outside!
- I forget what I'm supposed to do
- Almost dropped my giant mirror :X
- LOTS of adjusting the cameras...

Well the point is, I finished. I still made mistakes because this was after the 5 hour mark, but I did my best!! Please support me by watching, commenting, liking, and of course, SHARING my video!! It would be such an amazing turnaround to even be considered for Cube... I've been dreaming of being a backup dancer since I was 14. Thanks to Nami Tamaki, I've been so inspired to dance. It gave me self-confidence when I grew up with pretty low self-esteem and constantly being made fun of by my own sisters at times and feeling left out. Anyways, here's my video. As mentioned, please support!! :)

If video doesn't work, click here!

VIDEO REMOVED

Hope you guys enjoy it! Let me know what you think, honest (harsh?) critiques are welcome, but be gentle ^^

And of course, a blog entry just wouldn't be right without a bit of cam-whore spam haha

4MINUTE! with another X JAPAN inspired nail set, pictures next post?

My boots my mommy got me for Christmas! I actually went to the store with her to get them because she had no clue what to get me for Christmas. We got 2 pairs that day, and she also got me some ankle booties! I'll have to take better pictures next time.

In other news.... I really want to make rice pudding, but someone left maybe 3 spoonfuls of rice in the cooker.... thanks. >_>;

031. hide Inspired nails

Just a quick update with [webcam] pictures of my latest nails. I've been listening to X JAPAN pretty much nonstop recently (minus the occasional KPop... *cough*) so I was inspired to do some nail art with an X JAPAN theme. Of course, I couldn't really figure out what to do (besides a bunch of X's on my nails, which would've seemed pretty bland and unoriginal). SO, after watching X JAPAN's LAST LIVE performance of "Rusty Nail" over and over, I became inspired to do nail art based on hide's famous guitars.
No makeup btw~

So they came out a little funky, but overall I love it. The black one was really hard to draw, since the guitar's design is so out-there.... it's hard to translate to nail art ><

and here's a link to the guitars:

Taken yesterday. Kinda wish I took a FOTD pic, since I really liked the way my makeup came out that day. Oh well. :P
